Meet Santiago, a 16-year-old goalkeeper from Colombia. His first contact with the beautiful game came when forced to play in goal by his older friends at school. Since then he’s made the position his own — thriving on the pressure that comes with the most mentally demanding, yet rewarding position in the game.

Having initially impressed in his hometown of Cali, Columbia, he then shone at AJFC Bogota, where his dream became a reality as he was picked to attend this year’s AJFC at FC Bayern Munich’s Sabener Straße, Munich. Here he really did live out every young footballer’s dreams — to play, compete and develop among like-minded players from all corners of the world and walk in the footsteps FC Bayern Munich’s new Colombian star-signing, James Rodríguez.
