It’s United’s final preseason fixture tonight away to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Tonight they take on Champions League rivals, Munich, after playing games against current three time Champions League winners, Real Madrid, Premier League rivals, Liverpool and Serie A giants, AC Milan.
United will look to continue their winning ways after beating Madrid 2-1 in their last run out. Almost everyone is now back either training or with the squad after a summer of playing in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The only player not back yet is Paul Pogba, however Martial and Gomes did not travel with the squad. This is the last time players can impress the boss, Jose Mourinho. Youngsters like Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood will look to show off their talent with any minutes they get on the pitch, whilst players such as Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah and Pereira will be given the chance to prove themselves and earn a place in the squad for the upcoming Premier League season.
Bayern Munich have selected a pretty experienced and full strength squad will players like Manuel Neuer, Robben, Alaba and Kimmich! Bayern only managed one win during the International Champions Cup, beating PSG 3-1. However they lost 2-0 against Juventus and 3-2 against Manchester City.
This should be a big test for both teams, and will be a good indication for fans to see how ready their players are for this upcoming season.
